Angel v. U.S. Tire Recovery, No. 06-C-855 (Cir. Ct. W. Va.) - Homeowners and leaseholders in Nitro and St. Albans, West Virginia were required to shelter-in-place during a two day tire fire. Hilsoft Notifications designed and implemented a settlement notice program that provided notice via direct mail, as well as publication notice in local newspapers, a neutral informational release, and a case website.
Morrow v. Conoco. Inc., No. 2002-3860 (D. La.)/Thibodeaux v. Conoco Phillips, No. 2003-481 (D. La.) - Designed and implemented settlement notice programs notifying people about air contaminant releases and about their rights and options under the proposed settlements. Through analysis of the geography of the air contaminant releases, we determined that, in conjunction with mailings, an efficient publication and radio notice program needed to be undertaken to adequately satisfy due process. Jones v. Dominion Transmission, Inc., No. 2:06-cv-00671 (S.D. W. Va.) - Current and former oil and gas leaseholders were provided clear, concise notices via direct mail about a class action settlement. Extensive address updating protocols were utilized to ensure proper notification, and third party sources were used to find heirs of deceased class members. Additional notice efforts included a neutral press release and a case website.
