Friedman v. Microsoft

Similar to the statewide class actions against Microsoft in California and Minnesota, the Friedman case settled antitrust claims in Arizona.

Upon class certification, Hilsoft Notifications designed a certification notice plan and drafted forms of notice, dealing with critical notice planning issues pertaining to individual notice and media coverage and reach.  When the case settled, Hilsoft Notifications designed and implemented a Settlement Notice Program and Settlement Notices.  The comprehensive Settlement Notice Plan, in part, consisted of individual Notice to known Class members, publication Notice in leading media in both English and Spanish throughout Arizona, and other media efforts including a neutral informational website.

In a detailed final report affidavit to the Court, Hilsoft Notifications' experts illustrated, through a number of careful analyses and calculations, that the Notice Plan, as undertaken, fully satisfied due process, adequately informed Class members of their rights, and conformed to the high standards of a modern notice program.
